About Me

I am a Galway native, currently living in Dublin. I am thoroughly enjoying life in Dublin and excited about the future of this vibrant city.

From 2011 to 2018 I lived in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. This was an amazing experience. I travelled throughout Asia, met some amazing people and discovered my passion for teaching. During my time in Taiwan I took advantage of the climate and spent a majority of my time outdoors. Whether it be playing football, on road trips or at the beach. I have been continuing this habit since I returned. I also decided to focus on Education as a career. I completed a PGCEi and MEd during my final few years in Taiwan

Before travelling to Taiwan, I completed a BA in Film and Television. While I never worked in the industry, a love of filmmaking and technology has remained. This love has merged with my teaching and I use technology wherever possible in the classroom or designing lessons out of the classroom.

When I returned to Ireland I decided to take the next step in my career and do something that I always wanted to do. I enrolled in the Code Institute Full-Stack Development course. While working full-time, I completed the course in March 2020. This is something that I am very proud of, however I know that the industry is constantly evolving therefore my learning hasn’t stopped.

I believe that with my experience and knowledge I now possess a unique skill set and an ability to work in many different environments and sectors.
